Aven — a service of Atelier Social

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026

Aven is a digital invitation studio operated by Atelier Social (“Aven,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you order an invitation, when your guests use it, and what we do with that information.

Information we collect

We collect different information depending on your role:

  • From the couple placing an order: name, email address, phone number, event date and venue, and any wedding details submitted through your dashboard (programme, registry information, and similar).
  • From guests: name and phone number, RSVP response and headcount, and any dietary, menu, or transport preferences shared through the RSVP form. Guests reach these pages through a link shared by the couple — they do not create an Aven account.
  • Photos and messages: anyone with access to an event’s invitation link or Memory Book QR code can upload photos and a short caption to that event’s shared memory wall.
  • Sign-in information: when a couple signs in to their dashboard, we send a one-time code or check a personal access code to verify it’s them.

We do not collect or store payment card details. Payment for an Aven order is arranged directly between you and our team, outside the platform.

How we use this information

  • To build, personalise, and deliver your invitation website.
  • To operate the RSVP, guest list, table planning, and memory wall features on the couple’s behalf.
  • To send order confirmations, sign-in codes, and updates about your invitation.
  • To respond to support requests sent to us directly.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run Aven, each of whom only processes data on our behalf and for the purposes described here:

  • Resend — delivers our transactional emails (order confirmations, sign-in codes, RSVP notifications).
  • Vercel — hosts the Aven website and stores uploaded photos.
  • Neon — hosts our database.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

Memory wall photos are public

Photos and messages uploaded to an event’s memory wall are visible to anyone with that event’s link, and the underlying image files are hosted at a public web address. Please keep this in mind before uploading or encouraging guests to upload anything you’d prefer to keep private.

How long we keep information

We keep account, event, and guest information for as long as needed to provide the service, and afterward unless you ask us to delete it. If you’d like your information — or, if you’re a guest, the information you shared through an RSVP or memory wall — removed, contact us and we’ll act on that request.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing hello@aveninvites.com. This applies whether you placed the order or are a guest who used an invitation link — you don’t need an Aven account to make this request.

Cookies and sign-in

When a couple signs in to their dashboard, we set a session cookie so you stay signed in as you navigate the site. We don’t use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.

Children

Aven is intended for use by adults planning an event. We don’t knowingly collect information directly from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Aven after a change means you accept the updated policy.
